Chelsea Edges Past Copenhagen 1-0 to Advance in UEFA Conference League

Chelsea secured a 1-0 victory against Copenhagen in the UEFA Europa Conference League, advancing further in the tournament with an aggregate score of 2-0 after two legs.

The decisive moment came in the 55th minute when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the match’s only goal. The match, played on March 13, 2025, saw Chelsea control the play, despite a disciplined defensive effort from Copenhagen.

Chelsea made tactical adjustments early in the second half, bringing on Cole Palmer and Marc Cucurella to replace Enzo Fernandez and Jeremy Acheampong. Cucurella later received a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behavior.

Copenhagen responded with substitutions in the 59th minute, introducing Djibril Chiahka and Jordan Larsson for Viktor Claesson and Mohamed Elyounoussi. Additional changes followed in the 76th minute, but these adjustments proved insufficient to overturn Chelsea’s advantage.

Late cautions were shown to Tosin Adarabioyo (Chelsea, 85’) and Godsway Antwi (Copenhagen, 90’) as tensions rose toward the final whistle.

Chelsea’s advancement represents a crucial step forward in their European campaign, boosting their prospects for silverware this season.
