Forest Beat Tottenham 2-1 to Climb Back to Third Place

London, April 21, 2025 — Nottingham Forest earned a 2-1 away win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday night, securing three crucial points in their pursuit of a top-four finish.

The visiting side made an impressive start, scoring twice in the opening 16 minutes. In the 5th minute, Emmanuel Dennis delivered a well-placed ball to Anthony Elanga, who assisted Gio Reyna for the opener. Just over ten minutes later, Elanga was involved again, providing another assist — this time to Callum Hudson-Odoi, who calmly finished to double the lead.

Tottenham had an early chance to equalize when Destiny Udogie found the net in the 10th minute, but the goal was ruled offside.

Spurs managed to respond late in the game. In the 87th minute, Richarlison scored following a pass from Pedro Porro, narrowing the gap. However, it was not enough to change the outcome.

Cristian Romero received a yellow card in the first half for a late challenge. Nottingham’s defense absorbed pressure throughout the second half, with several substitutions helping maintain their lead.

With this result, Nottingham Forest climb back into third place in the Premier League standings, continuing their impressive campaign.

Nottingham Forest are aiming for their highest league finish since their return to the Premier League.

Anthony Elanga, formerly of Manchester United, has been involved in four goals in his last three appearances.

This is Forest’s first away win against Spurs since 1997.
