Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is poised to return to action this weekend following an ankle injury sustained in March. Manager Pep Guardiola confirmed Haaland’s readiness ahead of City’s match against Southampton. The Norwegian forward, who has scored 21 goals in 28 Premier League appearances this season, was an unused substitute in City’s recent victory over Wolves. City currently sits third in the league standings, three points ahead of Nottingham Forest, as they aim for a top-five finish to secure Champions League qualification. Following the Southampton match, City will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 17 at Wembley and conclude their league campaign with games against Bournemouth and Fulham. Despite a challenging season marked by injuries and a dip in form, Guardiola remains focused on finishing strong.
