Colombian striker John Durán has officially joined Saudi club Al-Nassr in a transfer from Aston Villa. The deal has been finalized for €77 million, with potential bonuses based on performance-related conditions.
Durán joined Aston Villa in January 2023 but struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup. Over the past season, he primarily remained on the bench, making his departure expected.
Al-Nassr continues to strengthen its squad with high-profile signings as part of its long-term strategy. The club already boasts stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, and Durán’s arrival further reinforces their ambitions on the international stage.
For Aston Villa, the transfer provides a significant financial boost, allowing the club to reinvest in other players.
Durán began his professional career in Colombia with América de Cali and was recognized as one of the country’s top young talents in 2022.
