Liverpool FC has signed a new kit deal with Adidas, marking the German brand’s return as the club’s technical sponsor after 13 years. The agreement, worth over £50 million per season, will come into effect from the 2025/26 season.
Adidas Returns to Liverpool
Liverpool previously partnered with Adidas between 1985-1996 and again from 2006-2012. The club then switched to Warrior Sports, followed by New Balance, before signing its current deal with Nike in 2020. The upcoming agreement will see Adidas replace Nike as Liverpool’s kit manufacturer.
A Lucrative Partnership
The new contract reinforces Liverpool’s position among the top clubs in European football, securing one of the most valuable kit sponsorships in the game. While specific details of the deal have not been fully disclosed, the £50 million+ per season figure places it among the most lucrative agreements in world football.
Adidas Strengthens Its Premier League Presence
With this deal, Adidas will expand its footprint in the Premier League, where it already sponsors clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal. The return to Liverpool adds another top-tier club to its roster, further intensifying competition among sportswear giants in football sponsorships.
