Three Liverpool players have been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Season award following their team’s successful campaign. Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Ryan Gravenberch are among the eight nominees after contributing to Liverpool’s 20th league title. Van Dijk played every match, aiding in 14 clean sheets, while Gravenberch missed only one game. Salah led the league with 46 goal contributions, including 28 goals. Nottingham Forest also has two nominees: Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood, who scored 20 goals in 34 matches. Other nominees include Newcastle’s Alexander Isak with 23 goals and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo with 18 goals and seven assists. Arsenal’s Declan Rice completes the list.
In managerial nominations, Wolves’ Vitor Pereira is recognized for guiding his team to safety from a precarious position in December. Liverpool’s Arne Slot is also nominated after securing a league title in his debut season at Anfield. Eddie Howe from Newcastle and Nuno Espirito Santo from Nottingham Forest are contenders as both clubs vie for Champions League spots. Brentford’s Thomas Frank rounds out the shortlist as his team aims for their best-ever finish of eighth place.
The winners will be determined by a combination of public votes and a panel of football experts.
