Liverpool forward Luis Díaz has confirmed his intention to remain with the club, despite ongoing rumors about his potential departure. Having joined from FC Porto in 2022, Díaz has two years left on his current contract. Following his 17th goal of the season in a recent 2-2 draw against Arsenal, the Colombian international hinted that discussions for a contract extension are forthcoming. In an interview with Telemundo Deportes, Díaz expressed his happiness at Liverpool, stating, “Yes, happy. From the first day I arrived, I’ve always been happy, calm, enjoying the football played at this great team.” He added that he is open to staying for many more years but acknowledged that it depends on the club’s decision as well. This season has been Díaz’s most successful with Liverpool; he has scored 17 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions. The 28-year-old has appeared in all but two of Liverpool’s 36 Premier League matches this season.
