Manchester City has completed the signing of English goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli from Chelsea. The 33-year-old joins on a contract that extends until 2026. This acquisition follows the announcement of Scott Carson’s departure from the club at the end of the month. Bettinelli becomes City’s second signing this summer, following the addition of left-back Rayan Air-Nouri from Wolves for £31 million. Upon joining, Bettinelli expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s an honour to sign for City. I have admired from afar what this club have achieved since Pep Guardiola arrived and now, I am excited to be a part of building on that success.” He is expected to travel with Manchester City’s squad to America for the Club World Cup later this month.
