Manchester City is reportedly preparing a significant contract offer to acquire AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders this summer. The club aims to strengthen its midfield lineup, especially with the anticipated departure of Kevin De Bruyne. Despite Rodri’s return from injury, manager Pep Guardiola is keen on adding new talent to the squad.
Reijnders, who played a pivotal role for AC Milan during the 2024/25 season, is known for his versatility in central and deeper midfield positions. He made 37 appearances in Serie A, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists. In the Champions League, he featured in 10 matches and scored 3 goals.
Manchester City has cooled its interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz and is now focused on securing Reijnders. The club is willing to offer a substantial salary increase, reportedly around £130,000 per week, to finalize the deal before the Club World Cup. AC Milan values Reijnders at approximately £50 million.
