Manchester United are nearing the acquisition of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian striker, who has netted 17 goals and provided six assists in 34 matches, was previously linked with Arsenal but signed a new contract with a release clause of approximately £62.5 million. Reports suggest that Manchester United have agreed on terms for his transfer.
In another significant move, Real Madrid are close to signing Benfica’s left-back Álvaro Carreras. The Spanish under-21 international is set to join Madrid for a fee ranging from €30m to €50m after Manchester United missed their opportunity to re-sign him for €20m in January. Carreras had previously been part of both Real Madrid and Manchester United‘s youth setups before moving to Benfica.
Additionally, Cristiano Ronaldo has received an offer from a Brazilian club ahead of the Club World Cup. The identity of the club remains undisclosed, but it is reported to be a substantial offer involving significant external investments.
