As the summer transfer window nears its conclusion, Manchester United is actively pursuing new signings to strengthen their squad. Manager Ruben Amorim has already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million. The club is now targeting striker Viktor Gyokeres, who scored 54 goals in the 2024/25 season, and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
Discussions are ongoing with Gyokeres’ representatives as United seeks to enhance their attacking options. Meanwhile, a second offer is being prepared for Mbeumo after an initial bid of £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons was declined.
Mbeumo, who prefers a move to United over Newcastle or Tottenham, has been impressive with 27 goals and assists last season. His performance metrics surpass those of Rayan Cherki, who recently agreed to join Manchester City for £34 million.
United aims to finalize these deals as part of a broader strategy to improve on last season’s 15th-place Premier League finish.
