Manchester United is on the verge of securing a transfer for Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, with a deal valued at £62.5 million. The Brazilian striker’s move to Old Trafford is expected to be completed in three instalments over two years. The first payment of £20.8 million will be made upon signing, followed by another at the end of the next season, and the final amount due in summer 2027.
Cunha has scored 33 goals in 92 appearances for Wolves since joining from Atletico Madrid in January 2023. He recently expressed gratitude to fans on social media, stating it was his best season individually and acknowledging his record as the Brazilian with the most goals in a Premier League season alongside Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Martinelli.
While Wolves have not yet received a formal offer, it is anticipated shortly as personal terms between Cunha and Manchester United are nearly finalized.
