Manchester United is reportedly prepared to offer £38 million to acquire Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo this summer. The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for Bournemouth, contributing nine goals and five assists in the Premier League this season. His performance includes an average of 1.8 aerial duel wins and 1.5 tackles per game.
Semenyo’s potential move to Manchester United comes as the club looks to strengthen its squad following a disappointing domestic campaign, highlighted by a recent 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Manager Ruben Amorim expressed concerns about the team’s league form, emphasizing the need for significant changes.
In addition to Semenyo, Manchester United is considering other transfers, including Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah and Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali. The club hopes to secure Champions League qualification by defeating Tottenham in Bilbao next week, which could enhance their ability to attract top talent.
Semenyo has been praised by his teammate Lewis Cook for his quality and work ethic: “As a team, we knew the quality he has and we saw that last year. He’s got to just keep working hard – being aggressive and being clinical.” If Manchester United successfully signs Semenyo, it could be a significant boost to their attacking options.
