Manchester United is preparing for significant changes this summer under new management. Ruben Amorim, taking charge for his first transfer window, faces the challenge of restructuring the squad after a season without major European success. The club is expected to prioritize financial stability, potentially leading to the sale of high-profile players.
Reports indicate that Bayer Leverkusen and former manager Erik ten Hag have shown interest in acquiring Manchester United players Antony and Alejandro Garnacho. Antony, who recently completed a successful loan spell at Real Betis, has been linked with a move valued around £42 million. Meanwhile, Garnacho, attracting attention from Napoli and AC Milan, could be sold for approximately £70 million.
In the 2024/25 season, Antony made 40 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists. Garnacho played in 58 matches, contributing 11 goals and 10 assists.
This potential reshuffling comes as Manchester United seeks to streamline costs following their post-season tour of Asia, which generated £7.8 million in revenue. The club aims to reinvest funds into strengthening the squad for the upcoming season.
