Manchester United has once more opted not to hold their traditional end-of-season awards ceremony. This marks the second consecutive year the club has canceled the event, which typically honors players from the men’s, women’s, and youth teams. Last year, despite winning the FA Cup, United finished eighth in the Premier League, leading to the cancellation of the awards night. This season, while facing their lowest league finish since 1973-74, they still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League. The women’s team is set to play Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley and has already secured a spot in next season’s Women’s Champions League with a third-place league finish. Instead of an awards night or parade if they win against Tottenham on May 21 in Bilbao, United will host a barbecue at their Carrington training ground. Fans have been invited to vote for player and goal of the season awards through match programs. These awards will be presented on May 25 at Old Trafford before their match against Aston Villa.
