Premier League referees’ annual earnings have been disclosed by the league’s head of officiating, Howard Webb, offering a rare look into the financial side of top-flight officiating.
Webb confirmed that match officials in England’s second tier — the Championship — already earn over £120,000 annually, with assistant referees receiving around £110,000.
While exact Premier League figures were not specified, the comparison highlights the high earnings across European leagues.
