Marcus Rashford scored his first goals for Aston Villa as they defeated Preston North End 3–0 to secure a place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The match, held on March 30, 2025, saw Aston Villa dominate the second half. Rashford opened the scoring in the 58th minute with a goal from open play, followed by a successful penalty just five minutes later. Jacob Ramsey sealed the result with a third goal in the 71st minute.
Preston’s defense struggled to contain Villa’s attacking trio after the break, and their efforts were further undermined by two yellow cards — one for Kian Uche and another for Bambo Diaby. Substitutions on both sides in the final 20 minutes had little impact on the scoreline.
This victory marks an important milestone for Rashford, who joined Aston Villa earlier this season and now opens his scoring account for the club.
