Real Betis is reportedly interested in extending the loan of Brazilian winger Antony for another year, keeping him at the club through the end of the 2025/26 season.
The La Liga side is pleased with Antony’s performances and believes he can continue to contribute significantly to their attacking play. To secure the extension, Betis is willing to cover a higher percentage of the player’s wages — currently set at 84%, showing the club’s strong desire to retain him.
Antony’s Impact at Betis
Since joining on loan, Antony has become a regular feature in the squad, showing glimpses of the talent that once made him one of Europe’s most talked-about young players.
The final decision will depend on negotiations with Antony’s parent club, as well as the player’s own preference. However, Betis’ intention is clear: they want to keep the winger in Seville for at least one more season.
This move would follow a growing trend among La Liga clubs opting for extended loans as a cost-effective way to maintain squad quality amid financial constraints.
