Real Madrid continues to show interest in Arsenal’s William Saliba, despite having recently acquired Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth. Saliba, a key player in Mikel Arteta’s defense since the 2022/2023 season, could leave Arsenal for free in 2027 if contract negotiations do not progress. Arsenal has initiated talks for a new contract with Saliba, but reports suggest an agreement is not yet finalized. Fabrizio Romano stated that Real Madrid still considers Saliba a ‘dream’ signing.
In addition to Saliba, Real Madrid is also monitoring Myles Lewis-Skelly, an emerging talent from Arsenal’s Hale End academy. The 18-year-old left-back has impressed this season and earned a call-up to the England squad under Thomas Tuchel. Contract discussions between Arsenal and Lewis-Skelly are reportedly not going well, raising concerns about his future at the club. Real Madrid is reportedly interested in acquiring Lewis-Skelly without a transfer fee.
