Former Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has commented on the club’s performance under manager Mikel Arteta, noting a lack of trophies in recent years. Since Arteta took charge in 2019, Arsenal have consistently challenged for titles but have not secured any silverware since their FA Cup victory over Chelsea in 2020. The team has finished second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons and was eliminated at the semi-final stage of both the Champions League and Carabao Cup this season. Henry remarked, ‘I’m not saying that I’m disappointed with Arsenal, but it’s normal that people are raising questions now about what the team is doing.‘ He compared Arsenal’s situation to Manchester United, who have reached five finals and won two trophies in the past five years. Henry added, ‘For the last three years Arsenal have been in a situation where they should have at least brought one cup or [reached] a final.‘
