Tottenham Hotspur is preparing for an active summer transfer window after securing a spot in the Champions League. This achievement has enhanced their appeal in the transfer market, with Chairman Daniel Levy planning to bolster the squad. Spurs are reportedly interested in Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, whose contract expires on June 30. Despite interest from Arsenal, Tottenham is seen as a strong contender for Sane, who has extensive experience at top clubs like Bayern and Manchester City. However, his wage demands could pose a challenge, with reports suggesting he seeks a £192,000-per-week salary plus bonuses.
In addition to Sane, Tottenham is also targeting Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze. The 26-year-old recently led Palace to an FA Cup victory and has a £68 million release clause in his contract. Reports indicate that Spurs are willing to meet this clause or consider a player-plus-cash deal to secure Eze’s services. Other clubs like Manchester United and Newcastle United are also interested in Eze, but Tottenham remains keen on adding him to their squad.
These potential signings align with Tottenham’s strategy to bring experienced players into their youthful team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
