Tottenham Hotspur is actively seeking a new manager as current head coach Ange Postecoglou faces an uncertain future. Despite leading the team to the Europa League final, Postecoglou has overseen 20 Premier League defeats this season, setting a new club record. This surpasses the previous record of 19 losses during the 1993/1994 season under Ossie Ardiles.
Reports suggest that even if Tottenham wins the Europa League and secures a spot in next season’s Champions League, Postecoglou may still be replaced. David Ornstein stated on a podcast that Spurs are likely to make a managerial change this summer regardless of their success in the final against Manchester United on May 21.
Several potential candidates have been linked with the role, including Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, Oliver Glasner, Thomas Frank, Scott Parker, Jürgen Klopp, Niko Kovač, and Edin Terzić. Additionally, former Barcelona manager Xavi has reportedly been approached by Tottenham. However, Xavi is not currently interested in moving to the Premier League.
Tottenham’s top performers this season include Son Heung-min with an average match rating of 7.05, followed by Pedro Porro and James Maddison both at 6.98.
