West Ham United and Nottingham Forest have been charged by the Football Association for failing to control their players during a Premier League match on Sunday. The incident occurred in the final moments of the game at London Stadium, which saw Nottingham Forest secure a 2-1 victory. A confrontation broke out among players from both teams during stoppage time, leading to yellow cards for West Ham’s Edson Alvarez and Carlos Soler, as well as Forest’s Murillo and Morato. The match extended to 112 minutes and 55 seconds due to a lengthy stoppage time, partly caused by a review of Nikola Milenkovic’s decisive goal for offside. The FA stated that both clubs are accused of not ensuring their players refrained from improper or provocative behavior around the 103rd minute. West Ham and Nottingham Forest must respond to these charges by Friday, May 23. In upcoming fixtures, West Ham will visit Ipswich for their Premier League finale, while Nottingham Forest aims to defeat Chelsea in hopes of securing a Champions League spot.
