Kaizer Chiefs End Trophy Drought with Nedbank Cup Triumph

Kaizer Chiefs have concluded the 2024/25 season on a high note by securing the Nedbank Cup, marking their first major trophy in a decade. Under head coach Nasreddine Nabi, the team defeated Stellenbosch, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Orlando Pirates to achieve this milestone. Despite missing out on a top-eight league finish, the victory ensures their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup next season. Former captain Tefu Mashamaite emphasized the importance of gradual rebuilding and competing in Africa as steps towards regaining their former glory. “It’s about rebuilding,” Mashamaite stated, highlighting the need for patience and steady progress.
