Etiosa Ighodaro, currently with Mamelodi Sundowns, may soon be on the move as Kaizer Chiefs express interest in the Nigerian forward. Ighodaro, who spent last season on loan at AmaZulu and netted six goals in 27 appearances, has been linked with a transfer to Chiefs as his contract with Sundowns is nearing its end. Previously, he had loan spells at Chippa United and the University of Pretoria.
Reports suggest that Kaizer Chiefs have made inquiries about the 23-year-old striker. A source revealed that the same scouts who brought Ighodaro to Sundowns are now interested in securing his services for Chiefs. The club is prioritizing signing a striker and a left-back ahead of their pre-season training camp.
As Sundowns strengthen their squad with new arrivals like Arthur Sales and Lebogang Mothiba, they appear ready to let Ighodaro depart. This potential move could bolster Kaizer Chiefs’ attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming season.
