Kaizer Chiefs are focusing on strengthening their offensive lineup in the upcoming transfer window. The team has faced challenges in scoring goals, an issue that persisted last season under coach Nasreddine Nabi and even during Arthur Zwane’s tenure. Despite acquiring players like Christian Saile, Caleb Bimenyimana, Ranga Chivaviro, Tashreeq Morris, and Glody Lilepo, the goal-scoring problem remains unsolved.
Last season saw an improvement in chances created under Nabi’s guidance, but the search for a player who can both score and assist continues. Kaizer Chiefs have shown interest in Sekhukhune United’s winger Keletso Makgalwa. Reports suggest that Makgalwa has bid farewell to his teammates at Babina Noko, indicating a potential move.
Sekhukhune United has expressed their intention to build their team around Makgalwa for the next season. The 28-year-old joined Sekhukhune on a three-year contract from Upington City FC after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns. Previously, there were rumors of Chiefs signing Makgalwa on a pre-contract from Upington FC; however, he went on to score 11 goals and provide seven assists in the league.
