Kaizer Chiefs to Release Midfielder George Matlou in June

Kaizer Chiefs will part ways with midfielder George Matlou at the end of June. Matlou, 26, joined the team in July 2022 from Moroka Swallows, signing a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. After exercising this option last season, the contract is set to expire next month. During his tenure at Naturena, Matlou played in 40 matches and was part of the squad that won the Nedbank Cup, ending a decade-long trophy drought for the club.
