Kaizer Chiefs are actively seeking a new striker, and former player Siyabonga Nomvethe has recommended Knox Mutizwa for the role. Despite scoring 63 goals and providing 23 assists in 231 appearances for Golden Arrows, the 31-year-old Zimbabwean was recently released due to disciplinary issues. Nomvethe believes this is an opportunity for Kaizer Chiefs to strengthen their squad.
Nomvethe stated, “Mutizwa is a good striker and a perfect match for Kaizer Chiefs.” He emphasized the impact of Mutizwa’s absence on Golden Arrows’ performance and highlighted his scoring ability as a key asset. “At 31, he should be at the peak of his career, and his experience could greatly benefit Kaizer Chiefs,” Nomvethe added.
He further explained that while young players bring energy, experience is crucial in converting scoring opportunities. Nomvethe stressed that playing for Kaizer Chiefs requires hard work and consistent performance to satisfy their supporters.
Nomvethe concluded by praising Mutizwa’s awareness inside the box and his ability to capitalize on chances: “He is clinical, he understands the game, and when he wants to score, he often does.”
