Despite Lucas Ribeiro being a strong contender for the Player of the Season, Kekana emphasizes that Makhaula’s role should not be overlooked. At 35, Makhaula has made 31 appearances in domestic competitions for Pirates, scoring one league goal. His efforts were crucial as the team secured one trophy and reached the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
