Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates Shine in Team of the Season

Benedict Vilakazi has announced his 2024/25 Betway Premiership Team of the Season, featuring a strong presence from Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. The team includes seven players from Sundowns and four from Pirates. Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams is positioned as the goalkeeper, with Khuliso Mudau at right-back, Aubrey Modiba on the left, and Grant Kekana paired with Nkosinathi Sibisi in central defense. The midfield trio comprises Teboho Mokoena, Marcello Allende, and Patrick Maswanganyi. The attacking line-up features Relebohile Mofokeng on the left-wing, Tshegofatso Mabasa as the center-forward who scored seven goals for Pirates, and Lucas Ribeiro on the right-wing as the season’s top scorer with 16 goals.
