Mamelodi Sundowns Release Mbule and Coetzee: What’s Next?

Football agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns have not extended their contracts with Sipho Mbule and Rivaldo Coetzee, making them free agents. Mbule, 27, impressed during his loan at Sekhukhune United and was considered for the Bafana Bafana squad by coach Hugo Broos. However, off-field issues led to his exclusion from the Babina Noko team. Despite having an option to extend his contract, Sundowns chose not to. Similarly, Coetzee’s season was marred by injuries, and Sundowns decided against exercising their option on him as well. Makaab stated, ‘As of the first of June both players are free to join a club of their choice.’
