Mamelodi Sundowns to Release Two Recent Signings Soon

Mamelodi Sundowns are preparing to release two players who recently joined the team. Defender Lucas Suarez, on loan from CA Talleres since January 2025, is expected to return to Argentina as the club has chosen not to exercise their purchase option. Additionally, midfielder Kobamelo Kodisang, who is one year into his five-year contract, is also set to leave. Coach Miguel Cardoso has reportedly decided that Kodisang is no longer needed at the club.

According to a source, ‘There are off-the-field issues that the club has tried to handle privately, which explains his absence from the team towards the end of last season. It seems there is no way back for him and he will definitely leave Mamelodi Sundowns.‘
