The Orlando Pirates are in search of a new head coach following the departure of Jose Riveiro, who left after securing three MTN8 trophies and two Nedbank Cup titles. As the new season approaches in August, the club has yet to name his successor. Reports suggest that Pablo Franco Martin, a former AmaZulu coach, is a potential candidate. Martin recently concluded a stint with Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia and is currently a free agent. Discussions between Martin and the Orlando Pirates have taken place, with an offer reportedly made. However, he is among several candidates being considered for the position. Meanwhile, Jose Riveiro is engaged in ongoing contract negotiations with Egyptian club Al Ahly.
