Orlando Pirates are actively preparing for the upcoming season, having already secured several new signings. The team finished second in the Betway Premiership, trailing Mamelodi Sundowns. In a successful season, the Buccaneers defended their MTN8 title for the third consecutive time and reached the Nedbank Cup final, where they were defeated by Kaizer Chiefs. They also made it to the CAF Champions League semifinals.
As Spanish coach Jose Riveiro’s tenure concludes, Pirates are moving forward with squad enhancements before appointing a new coach. Reports indicate that they have finalized six transfer deals and are now targeting a seventh player, AmaZulu’s winger Tshepang Moremi.
Karabo Phasha from SuperSport reported on X that Moremi is heavily linked with a move to Pirates, who are expected to make an offer soon. Despite having several wide attackers like Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota, along with Karim Kimvuidi and Monnapule Saleng, Pirates may consider Moremi as a potential addition.
Additionally, Katlego Otladisa is rumored to return from loan to Pirates, but his future remains uncertain.
