The Orlando Pirates have announced significant changes to their squad as they prepare for the upcoming season. Paseka Mako, a 31-year-old full-back who made 26 appearances last season, has left the club after seven years. Meanwhile, the Pirates have secured the services of Tshepho Mashiloane from Baroka FC. The 23-year-old versatile defender can play both as a right-back and in central midfield, which will strengthen the team’s options following recent departures.
In other news, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly in discussions with Paseka Mako. Additionally, Oswin Appollis has attracted interest from both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. The 23-year-old winger recently played for South Africa in their goalless draw against Tanzania.
These moves come as the Pirates aim to bolster their squad depth and address weaknesses in their full-back positions.
