The 2024-25 Premier League season concluded with notable achievements and standout performances. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was a key figure, matching the record for combined goals and assists in a single season with 47, including 29 goals and 18 assists. His performance was complemented by his impressive dribbling skills, winning more one-on-one duels in the defensive box than any other player.
Nottingham Forest’s goalkeeper Matz Sels shone brightly, preventing 4.3 goals and securing 13 clean sheets, tying for the most in the league. Antonee Robinson of Fulham excelled as a left-back, leading full-backs in assists with ten and defensive interventions at 496.
Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk remained a defensive stalwart, ranking first among defenders in touches and pass completions while contributing three goals. James Tarkowski of Everton also stood out defensively, leading center-backs in aerial duel success rate at 74.6%.
In midfield, Youri Tielemans of Aston Villa played a pivotal role both defensively and offensively, ranking high in touches and progressive passes. Bruno Fernandes adapted to a deeper role at Manchester United, leading midfielders in progressive passes.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer emerged as a central attacking midfielder with significant contributions early in the season, combining for 23 goals and assists. Liverpool’s Luis Díaz improved significantly on the left wing with increased goal contributions compared to previous seasons.
Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak led center-forwards with consistent scoring across matches. The season also saw significant performances from young talents like Murillo from Nottingham Forest and Dean Huijsen from AFC Bournemouth.
