Kamohelo Mokotjo, a former Bafana Bafana midfielder, has addressed his unexpected departure from Cape Town City. Mokotjo joined the team from Sekhukhune United at the start of the season, a move that surprised many South African football fans as he was considered a key player for Babina Noko. Despite being anticipated to strengthen CT City under coach Eric Tinkler, Mokotjo left after making 23 appearances across all competitions. The 34-year-old explained that his playing style no longer aligned with the club’s approach, leading to an amicable exit. “My football wasn’t the way that Cape Town City wanted to play anymore” Mokotjo stated on MetroFM. He is now a free agent but cannot join another team until after June 30 due to transfer window regulations.
