Richards Bay coach Ronnie Gabriel has announced that discussions are set to take place with management regarding the future of Mduduzi Mdantsane at the club. The 30-year-old midfielder has been on loan from Kaizer Chiefs for the current season, having struggled for playing time since joining Naturena two years ago. During his loan spell, Mdantsane appeared in three league matches, contributing to Richards Bay’s eighth-place finish with 33 points. Gabriel acknowledged Mdantsane’s positive attitude and impact on the team, stating that they will evaluate their options as the loan period concludes. ‘Yeah, it was a season-long loan, so that’s as far as we know,’ Gabriel stated. ‘So, we’ll decide what we do going forward. He has been good for the team; you saw today he came on with a good attitude. And we’ll have to take it if you look at the pros and cons and really where we need him and then we can take it from there.’
