Arsenal is preparing for an active summer transfer window following a challenging season. The club is exploring options to strengthen various positions, with a focus on acquiring new strikers and wingers. Talks have been held regarding Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, though negotiations are reportedly stalled due to wage demands.
In addition to Rodrygo, Arsenal is considering Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma as a potential signing. Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko are also being targeted as striker options, with Gyokeres scoring 53 goals and Sesko netting 21 in the 2024/2025 season.
Defensive reinforcements are also on the agenda, with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi expected to join the team. Arsenal is looking to extend Thomas Partey’s contract and may pursue additional defensive players after missing out on Dean Hujsen.
For the goalkeeper position, Arsenal has shown interest in Espanyol’s Joan Garcia. Despite previous talks falling through in 2024, discussions have resumed for Garcia, who has offers from Aston Villa and Bournemouth as well. Barcelona is reportedly willing to activate his £21 million release clause.
