Arsenal is actively seeking to strengthen its forward line as the club looks to improve its attacking options. Under the management of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal has reached the Champions League semi-finals and is poised for another strong Premier League finish. Despite these achievements, the team has struggled to find a prolific striker since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure.
Recent reports link Arsenal with several high-profile forwards, including Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres. Isak, who scored 27 goals and provided six assists in 41 games this season, could command a transfer fee exceeding £127 million. Gyokeres, valued at around £63 million, has an impressive record of 52 goals and 13 assists in 50 games.
Additionally, Arsenal is reportedly interested in Jonathan David from LOSC Lille. David’s current contract ends this summer, making him a potential target for several clubs, including Inter Milan and Napoli. The Canadian international has been in exceptional form, scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists in 48 appearances this season.
Since Aubameyang’s exit in early 2022, Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz have led Arsenal’s attack. However, none have matched Aubameyang’s prolific scoring rate. Jonathan David could be the solution to Arsenal’s search for a top-class striker.
