Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is preparing for the upcoming transfer window with ambitions to strengthen his squad, especially if they secure a top-five finish. The club has shown interest in several players, including Lucas Chevalier, Ferran Torres, and Alexander Sorloth. Recently, Aston Villa has been linked with Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz. Reports from Turkey suggest that Galatasaray is seeking €30 million (£25 million) for Yilmaz, with West Ham United and Nottingham Forest also expressing interest.
Yilmaz’s current season statistics for Galatasaray include 12 goals, three assists, and a goal conversion rate of 16%. He has created eight big chances and averages 2.4 shots per game. His performance at Euro 2024 drew praise from Virgil van Dijk, who described him as a challenging opponent.
Should Yilmaz join Aston Villa this summer, he could enhance the team’s attacking options alongside players like Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins.
