Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott sustained a fractured jaw during a Premier League match against Aston Villa. The incident occurred in the sixth minute when Scott was struck by Tyrone Mings’ elbow. Despite receiving extensive medical attention, the 21-year-old continued to play until another collision with Amadou Onana forced him off at halftime. Aston Villa ended the match with ten players after Jacob Ramsey received a second yellow card, although Mings was not penalized for his involvement in the incident. Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola expressed concern over the severity of the injury, stating, “He was almost knocked out.”
