Newcastle United is facing uncertainty regarding the future of one of its key players, Anthony Gordon. Reports suggest that Gordon is feeling unsettled at the club, with interest from several Premier League teams ahead of the summer transfer window. Despite this, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is keen on retaining Gordon and has encouraged him to fight for his place in the squad.
Gordon, who joined Newcastle from Everton, has been a significant contributor to the team’s attacking prowess, scoring 17 goals and providing 15 assists in the Premier League over the past two seasons. His teammate Bruno Guimaraes praised him, stating, “He has been amazing, he is so quick, and when we get the ball to him, we know he is going to do something special.”
The potential departure of Gordon would be a considerable loss for Newcastle as they aim to compete in both the Premier League and Champions League. The club hopes to offer Champions League football next season, which could be a factor in convincing Gordon to stay.
