Pep Lijnders Names Three Outstanding Midfielders

Liverpool assistant coach Pep Lijnders has highlighted three midfielders he considers among the best. When asked about the most complete player in the position, he stated: “If you ask me about the most complete midfielder, I will name three players: Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Curtis Jones.”

Lijnders’ selection includes two English internationals, Rice and Bellingham, who have been standout performers in the Premier League and La Liga, respectively. Curtis Jones, a Liverpool academy graduate, has also shown significant progress under Jürgen Klopp’s guidance.

While Rice and Bellingham are widely recognized as elite midfielders, the inclusion of Curtis Jones might surprise some. However, his development in Liverpool’s system has been remarkable, and his technical ability and tactical intelligence continue to improve.
