Paris, April 9, 2025 — Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3–1 win over Aston Villa in the first leg of their European quarter-final clash at Parc des Princes.
Aston Villa opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Morgan Rogers after a pass from Youri Tielemans. PSG responded swiftly as Danilo Doo equalised just four minutes later, assisted by Nuno Mendes.
In the second half, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave PSG the lead in the 49th minute following a setup by Fabián Ruiz. The hosts sealed their victory in stoppage time with goals from Nuno Mendes (90+2’) and Gonçalo Ramos (90+3’), with assists from Ousmane Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia respectively.
Aston Villa made several substitutions throughout the second half but were unable to regain momentum. PSG now head into the second leg with a two-goal advantage.
