Cape Town City’s caretaker coach, Diogo Peral, expressed disappointment following the Premier Soccer League’s decision to resume the second half of the match between SuperSport United and Golden Arrows. Cape Town City recently secured a point against Stellenbosch FC, moving them to 14th place in the league standings. However, their fate is uncertain due to the rescheduled match between SuperSport United and Golden Arrows, which was halted in February 2025 due to loadshedding with a score of 1-1 at halftime. Peral emphasized the importance of playing all final league games simultaneously to prevent teams from influencing outcomes. If SuperSport United wins or draws, Cape Town City will finish 15th and face promotion playoffs. “The only thing we can do is focus on our preparation for the upcoming games,” Peral stated.
