Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele has addressed speculation linking him to Kaizer Chiefs, confirming that he had discussions with Nasreddine Nabi in December. However, his current focus remains on the upcoming CAF Champions League final. The 30-year-old forward has been a key player for Pyramids this season, scoring twice in the semi-final against Orlando Pirates and accumulating eight goals in 11 matches overall. Despite the transfer rumors, Mayele emphasized that now is not the time to discuss potential moves. “The coach [Nabi] was in contact with me in December, but it’s not the right moment to talk about it” he stated during a media event. He expressed excitement about participating in Pyramids’ first-ever final in Africa’s premier club competition, saying, “I’m happy to play in the final; it’s the first final in the Champions League for the club and I’m ready.”
