Fiston Mayele, a prominent striker for Pyramids FC, is in South Africa for the CAF Champions League final against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 15:00. This season, Mayele has scored eight goals in ten appearances in the tournament.
During a recent media interaction, Mayele was questioned about any potential links with Kaizer Chiefs. He confirmed having spoken with coach Nasreddine Nabi in December but emphasized that it was not the right time to discuss such matters. “The coach [Nabi] was in contact with me in December, but it’s not the right moment to talk about it,” Mayele stated.
Mayele is currently focused on the upcoming final and mentioned that any decisions regarding his future would be addressed after the season concludes. His contract with Pyramids FC extends until June 2026, and there are reports of a new deal being prepared by his club.
