Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi reflected on his first season with the team, acknowledging the challenges faced during a transitional period. The club finished ninth in the league, securing only eight victories out of 28 matches. Despite this, Nabi led Kaizer Chiefs to win the Nedbank Cup, ending a decade-long trophy drought for the club. “We knew that this season was going to be tough given the process we are engaged with as a club” Nabi stated on the official Kaizer Chiefs website. He emphasized that while not finishing in the top eight was disappointing, it did not overshadow their achievement of winning a trophy. “Not every team can say they have won a trophy this season” he added, encouraging fans to take pride in their success. Looking ahead, Nabi expressed confidence in having a clearer path for improvement next season.
