Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for significant changes as they prepare for the upcoming season. Striker Tashreeq Morris, who joined the team in January, is likely to be loaned out to make room for new attacking talent. Despite participating in 19 matches across various competitions, the 31-year-old has only scored twice since his arrival from SuperSport United.
The club’s technical team has reportedly been discussing Morris’ future due to his underwhelming performance. A meeting was allegedly held before the final game of the season where both management and the technical team agreed on a potential loan move for Morris at the start of next season.
Before finalizing Morris’ loan, Kaizer Chiefs are focused on securing a new striker. The club is actively pursuing several targets but has yet to finalize any agreements. This search for a new frontman is currently delaying Morris’ temporary exit.
Despite his goal drought, Morris is recognized for his physical presence and pressing ability on the field, contributing to the team’s dynamics beyond just scoring.
